Ripple Enters the Agentic Payments Race
Ripple’s investment signals a deeper push into what many are calling the agentic economy, where AI agents act as independent economic participants. These systems are moving beyond recommendations and into execution, managing payments, treasury flows, and capital allocation.

t54 describes itself as a trust layer for the agentic economy. Founder Chandler Fang explained the company’s mission in a press release:

- Risk and fraud monitoring powered by real time behavioral analysis.
- Agent native credit underwriting.
- An integrated operating layer combining identity, risk, and settlement.

Last month, t54 announced a collaboration with Evernorth, a Ripple backed digital asset treasury firm targeting more than $1 billion in institutional XRP holdings.
