The core free experience across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI is not changing, Meta said in its announcement. Paid tiers instead unlock deeper access to features the company calls too resource-intensive to offer everyone at once, chiefly AI image and video generation through its Muse models and tools like Restyle on Instagram Stories. Meta reported that more than half of bundle subscribers in early testing engaged with both AI tools and expression features, naming Restyle and Instagram voice effects among the top reasons people subscribed.

Business Tools Anchor the Higher Tiers
Essential includes an enhanced profile, a follow button on Reels, automatic follow invitations, and expanded Meta Business Agent access for responding to WhatsApp customers around the clock. Advanced adds story scheduling up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and reels, exportable analytics, and delegated team access without password sharing. Expert and Max scale Meta Business Agent capacity for larger teams.
Meta said it will expand Meta One to Edits and AI glasses over time, starting with Edits Plus, which adds cloud storage for syncing projects and access to an in-development Edits assistant for analyzing Instagram insights. Feature availability and pricing can vary by app, region, and account.
