British fans of hit US TV shows have never had it easy when it comes to new season premieres. But, Breaking Bad will break the mould of this routine, with its final season airing on Netflix, just one day after it airs in the US.

Subscribers to Netflix may have already binge-watched the entire 4 1/2 seasons, and will be pleased to know that from August 12th, they’ll be able to enjoy a brand new episode every Monday thereafter. Even Aaron Paul can’t contain his excitement. Neither can we.

Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the highly-anticipated final season of Breaking Bad to Netflix members in the UK and Ireland on a first-run basis”. Breaking Bad is a once-in-a-generation calibre of show and continues to be a huge success on Netflix.”

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan added: “Netflix has been instrumental in making Breaking Bad the success that it is – particularly in the UK and Ireland, where it has built an audience and become a huge phenomenon.

“I am delighted that fans there will be able to enjoy the end of Breaking Bad on Netflix so soon after it airs in the US.”
