PREVIEW: Caspa @ Audio Brighton, 13th June

Posted on Saturday, 9 June by

One of the the most forward thinking artists during the emergence of dubstep, Caspa’s a genre-defining producer and DJ, with a global reputation for pulling huge shows out of the bag. He visits Brighton this coming week in a bid to bring some summer vibes to Sussex.

Audio is the venue to welcome Caspa this Wednesday evening and it’s a pretty decent match. Audio has already played host to a wealth of huge names in dance already this year including Rusko and Benga so Caspa should feel right at home in a city that’s welcomed electronic dance music with open arms.

As an artist, Caspa’s a Dub-police founder, and one of those who really pushed forward the sound of Dubstep in its early stages. His Fabriclive mix was a genre-defining, and a great homage to how good Dubstep can be when done well. When garage emerged he naturally progressed into the sound and started attending garage raves. Now one of the world’s biggest dubstep artist – this should be a mental gig in one of Sussex’s most energetically intimate settings.

Doors open at 11pm.

Tickets cost £8 on the door.
