New Multiplayer Maps
Season 2 brings nine new maps to Black Ops 7. Four maps came out at launch, and five more will come out halfway through the season.
Launch Maps:
- Slums – The famous skatepark from Black Ops 2 is back. Fight around the main Plaza and Electronics area, or go to the Garage and Shops. This popular map is great for moving up and down and planning your attacks.
- Torment – A small, scary map where blood falls from the sky. Victoria Atwood made this scary place using David Mason’s memories and fears. Guild boxes hang in the air, caught in twisted roots all over the map.
- Sake – A medium-sized map in a Japanese sake factory. Fight through the factory floor, storage area, and steaming room in this brand new spot.
- Nexus – Fight on a main road full of broken-down cars from The Battle of Los Angeles. Use big pieces of broken buildings and twisted highway parts to jump off walls.
Mid-Season Maps:
- Grind – The popular Black Ops 2 skatepark comes back with new wall jump spots
- Firing Range – Classic map from Black Ops 1 joining BO7
- Cliff Town – New version of Yemen from Black Ops 2
- Torque – Brand new map only in Season 2
- Mission: Peak – Another new map coming mid-season
New Weapons are Coming
Season 2 adds seven new guns of different types. Here is what you can get:
| Weapon | Type | How to Get It |
| REV-46 | SMG | Battle Pass Page 3 |
| EGRT-17 | Assault Rifle | Battle Pass |
| H311-SAW | Melee | Battle Pass |
| GDL Havoc | Launcher | Weekly Challenges |
| SG-12 | Shotgun | Special Event |
| Voyak KT-3 | Assault Rifle | Mid-Season |
| Swordfish A1 | Marksman Rifle | Mid-Season |
The REV-46 submachine gun is really special because it shoots super fast at 1,111 bullets per minute. It has a stock you can fold that lets you choose between easier control or less kick when shooting.
The EGRT-17 assault rifle shoots hot bullets that bounce off walls and objects. This cool feature lets you hit enemies hiding around corners and behind things.
Ranked Play Returns
Ranked Play finally comes to Black Ops 7 with Season 2. This serious mode uses the same rules, maps, and limits as the Call of Duty League pros. Main features are:
- You need to win 50 games in normal multiplayer first to unlock it
- New system to find your starting rank
- Better cheat protection for PC players using RICOCHET
- Special prizes like weapon skins and calling cards
- Same rules as pro CDL matches
Ranked Play gives four levels of prizes based on where you finish. The top 250 players get the moving Herculean weapon skin, and the number one player gets the special Monstrum calling card.
New Game Modes
Several fun game modes join Season 2:
- Safeguard – Help a robot get to safety while the other team tries to stop you. This mode from Black Ops 3 needs good teamwork.
- Overdrive – Team Deathmatch with special powers. Every kill gives you stars that unlock cool abilities like seeing enemies through walls, moving faster, and shooting better from the hip.
- Luck Confirmed – Like Kill Confirmed, but with lucky drops that can show up and give you 100 extra points.
- Third Wheel Gunfight – The popular 3v3 mode comes back for fast, exciting matches.
Mid-season will add Gauntlet and Infected modes for even more ways to play.
Zombies Content
Zombies mode gets lots of new stuff with Season 2:
- Mars Survival – The Mars part from Season 1’s Astra Malorum becomes a new Survival map. This version has Wall Buys, Pack-a-Punch machine, Der Wunderfizz, and Mystery Box. You fight Uber Klaus instead of O.S.C.A.R. in the later rounds.
- Cursed Survival – Play classic Zombies style with a starter pistol, less stuff on your screen, and the Black Ops 3 points system. This mode brings back the hard old-school way to play.
- Paradox Junction – A new round-based map comes mid-season with more info later.
Endgame Mode Updates
The Endgame mode gets several big new things:
- Guild Strikes – Random surprise attacks change places into Nightmare Zones with harder enemies and Strike Bosses that give really good rewards
- Eagle Eye Skill Track – A new way to level up that focuses on careful aiming, hitting weak spots, and using guns better
- New Abilities – Sentinel Protocol and Blood Burner come mid-season, adding strong help and ways to move around
- Glitches – Strange experiences off the main map show up after you beat Strike Bosses, giving you challenges you can do again
Balance Changes
Season 2 has several important fixes to make things fair:
- Scout Hybrid does not block enemy HARP anymore
- Care Package now has Black Ops 6 Scorestreaks inside
- DAWG takes 20% less damage in Sentry Mode
- Assault rifles do more damage from far away
- UAV costs more at Buy Stations, going from $6,000 to $8,000
Battle Pass and Rewards
The Season 2 Battle Pass has over 100 prizes, including the new character Victoria Atwood. Players who buy BlackCell get special stuff and a permanent 10% XP boost that can grow up to 50% across all Black Ops 7 seasons.
Season 2 brings a huge amount of stuff that makes the whole Black Ops 7 game feel fresh. With new maps, guns, modes, and features in every game type, now is the perfect time to start playing again.
