He may have only launched his debut album a little more than two months ago, but already Frank Ocean is back in the studio and unveiling new records that showcase even more of his undeniable talent.
This time around, Frank has chose to divert from his trademark falsetto on occasion and instead embrace the artform of rap, dropping a few introspective bars in the process – who knew that Ocean had that in his arsenal?
‘Blue Whale’ is a far cry from the typical sounds we see from the Odd Future man on ‘Channel Orange’, but that doesn’t mean that it’s any less compelling.
While the minimalist track doesn’t stray too far from the emotive subject matter that Ocean’s known for, it still feels fresh and with any luck we won’t have to wait too much longer before we can hear more.
