# Meta One Bundles Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp Into One AI Subscription

Meta launched Meta One on September 15, 2026, a subscription service spanning Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI. The company says more than 50 new features are available at launch, with plans starting at $2.99 a month.

## The Big Picture

- Meta One bundles single-app plans (Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, WhatsApp Plus) with new Core and Premium tiers that add expanded Meta AI image and video generation.
- Creator and business plans range from Essential at $14.99 a month to Max at $499 a month, adding tools like Meta Business Agent and advanced analytics.
- Meta AI stays free for everyday use. Paid tiers add heavier usage of compute-intensive tools like Muse-powered image and video generation and Restyle.
- More than half of early subscribers to bundled plans used both AI and expression features, according to Meta’s in-app testing.
- Meta plans to extend Meta One to Edits, its video-editing app, and to AI glasses over time.

## Meta Bundles AI and App Features Under One Subscription Brand

Meta built Meta One around plans it already sells separately. Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus, and [WhatsApp Plus](https://sqmagazine.co.uk/meta-whatsapp-plus-subscription-ios-rollout/) continue as **$2.99 to $3.99 monthly add-ons** for customization and messaging features. On top sits Meta One’s new layer: **Core ($7.99/mo)** and **Premium ($19.99/mo)** for individuals, and four business tiers, **Essential ($14.99/mo)**, **Advanced ($49.99/mo)**, **Expert ($149/mo)**, and **Max ($499/mo)**.

The core free experience across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI is not changing, [Meta said in its announcement](https://about.fb.com/news/2026/09/introducing-meta-one-subscription-service-more-features-ai/). Paid tiers instead unlock deeper access to features the company calls too resource-intensive to offer everyone at once, chiefly AI image and video generation through its Muse models and tools like Restyle on Instagram Stories. Meta reported that more than half of bundle subscribers in early testing engaged with both AI tools and expression features, naming Restyle and Instagram voice effects among the top reasons people subscribed.

 ## Business Tools Anchor the Higher Tiers

Essential includes an enhanced profile, a follow button on Reels, automatic follow invitations, and expanded Meta Business Agent access for responding to WhatsApp customers around the clock. Advanced adds story scheduling up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and [reels](https://sqmagazine.co.uk/instagram-reels-statistics/), exportable analytics, and delegated team access without password sharing. Expert and Max scale Meta Business Agent capacity for larger teams.

Meta said it will expand Meta One to Edits and AI glasses over time, starting with Edits Plus, which adds cloud storage for syncing projects and access to an in-development Edits assistant for analyzing Instagram insights. Feature availability and pricing can vary by app, region, and account.

## The Bottom Line

Meta One formalizes a pattern the company had already been testing piecemeal: monetizing the [compute cost of generative AI](https://sqmagazine.co.uk/generative-ai-statistics/) rather than gating core app features behind a paywall. Keeping [Meta AI](https://sqmagazine.co.uk/meta-ai-statistics/), Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp free at the base level while charging for heavier Muse-model usage lets Meta capture revenue from its most engaged users without alienating the billions who use the free tier. The business tiers do more strategic work, pairing Meta Business Agent access with publishing and analytics tools that compete directly with dedicated social media management platforms.

Businesses already using WhatsApp for customer support should check which Meta Business Agent response volume their current plan allows before the next billing cycle, since Essential carries the lowest allotment of the four business tiers.
