FA launch contest to find a sports journalist for International at the Amex

Posted on Wednesday, 12 March by

The FA have teamed up with Brighton & Hove Albion FC to offer one young sports journalist the opportunity to cover the FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifier between England and Montenegro at the American Express Community Stadium next month.

The winner will attend the match as a fully functioning football reporter and their match report will be published by The FA, seagulls.co.uk and The Argus. The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 16-21 and all you need to do is tell the judges why you should be picked in no more than 500 words.

One budding journalist will be given access to the Amex’s media lounge, watch the game from the press box, produce a match report, and sit in on all of the post-match interviews. The runners up in the competition will also receive free tickets to the match.

The England women’s side are currently top of their group and the game against Montenegro – screened live on BBC One – will be their fifth of this qualifying campaign.

Send your entries by 5pm on Monday 24th March to womensfootball@sportcel.com.
