WATCH: Man pretends to work at Apple store and pranks customers

Posted on Wednesday, 5 February by

Apple stores are notoriously a hive of activity and decked out top to bottom in ‘geniuses’ ready to lend their expertise to willing customers but there’s never been one with advice quite like this before.

Prank Nation’s Tyler Fischer kitted himself out in the famous blue sweatshirt and khaki trousers and posed as an Apple store employee, only to give customers a bucketload of false information that seems like the stuff of fantasy.

According to Mashable, Fischer said:

Not a single customer questioned if I wasn’t an employee. They all went with everything I said.”

Besides revealing that Apple will be unveiling an iPhone 5Q, 5ZZ and 5ZQR in consecutive days, Tyler pitches the latest iPad as having “4,000 megapixels of RAM and 3,000 Skype units” and uses an iPhone to perform a retina scan on a customer to check their credit history.

Oh, there’s also the small matter of Apple inventing polio, lyme disease and syphilis.
