LISTEN: Elli Ingram – All Caught Up (Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record)

Elli Ingram The Doghouse

Elli Ingram can tick another item off her list of impressive feats, as her latest track ‘All Caught Up’ has earned the exalted title of Zane Lowe’s Hottest record of the week.

Elli’s new track ‘All Caught Up’ gives us an insight into her forthcoming project ‘The Doghouse’ – the Brighton-born songstress’ second EP, set for release on the 17th March.

Having only just released ‘When It Was Dark’ earlier in the month, after debuting it in the Radio 1 Live Lounge, the track was given a full blown video treatment and was directed by none other than music video master, Emil Nava.

With her Sober EP having been released just 6 months ago to rave review, the 20-year-old Brighton-born singer-songwriter is certainly building herself up for an attack at the charts if songs of this calibre continue to come through.

Speaking to us at the end of last year about her writing style, Elli said:

I write a lot of lyrics when I’m alone so I will bring them into the studio. But I also like to write whilst Fe (Joseph) and Ast (Rudi) are building the beat as it can help spark inspiration.”
