Nike set the internet on fire this weekend when they released the Air Yeezy 2 Red Octobers out of nowhere. Yeah, the pair of trainers that Kanye West hasn’t stopped talking about on radio shows for the last four months.
The shoes sold out in only 11 minutes and as a result, those lucky enough to get a pair have taken to eBay and listed the shoes for a substantial profit…as high as £10 million.

The shoes were originally priced at $245 and interestingly – in what is probably a hint at the tension between Nike and Kanye West – the product description made no mention of the Chicago rapper, instead referring to the shoe as a “modern take on classic features”.
Speaking to Zane Lowe last year, Kanye said:
You guys don’t understand that I did the Yeezys and they eBayed for $90,000 but I didn’t get a call from Nike the next day.”
Whether the headline-grabbing eBay seller will actually manage to fetch £10 million for an overhyped product is doubtful. Other listings see the Air Yeezy 2s fetching for anywhere between £1,900 and £3,500.
At least we get an excuse to relive ‘You Ain’t Got the Answers, Sway!’.
