Spread the word! Brighton’s Shakedown festival is relocating and switching to an earlier date – no longer the closing party of summer but now right in the thick of it.

This year’s festival will take place on Saturday 19th July and moves from Stanmer Park to a new home at Waterhall, just a few miles down the road and near to central Brighton.

Shakedown Festival began in 2011, and immediately it launched in impressive circumstances. The event made the most of Brighton’s Stanmer Park, and attracted a host of big names for the inaugural experience including Example, Ed Sheeran and Razorlight.

2012 saw the festival step it up a notch with a distinctly electro-pop feel with Dizzee Rascal, Katy B and Chase & Status topping an impressive billing – and in 2013 Brighton boys Rizzle Kicks and Labrinth headlined another strong year for the late September festival which attracted around 20,000 revellers – more than double the number for previous year.

With news on this year’s billing tight-lipped, we’ll bring you the news when we have it.
