Artists mock-up gangster GTA London loading screens

Posted on Friday, 22 November by

Ever wanted a Grand Theft Auto game to be set in the UK? And no, please don’t remind us about that 2D abomination on Playstation 1. We’re talking a full-on modern day rendition. Anyway, the answer is probably yes.

Well, we don’t quite have that just yet but thanks to a few UK based graphic artists we may have edged a step nearer – someone shove these under Rockstar’s nose…

Crafted by the highly talented illustrator Peter O’Toole, motion graphic designer Sholto Smith and logo design supremo Adam Gill, we can quite happily say if there was to be a GTA London game, we’d want it to look just like this.

Based upon a series of famous British gangster films and TV shows, the artists have drawn influence for their characters from classics such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and This Is England.

Check out more of Peter O’Toole’s illustration work here.
