Mumford & Sons unveil stage times for Stopover gig in Lewes

Mumford & Sons

There’s just one week to go until Mumford & Sons hit Lewes for the UK leg of their Gentlemen of the Road Stopover tour. To build anticipation ahead of the big event, the group have announced stage times for the weekend and unveiled a brand new stage.

Mumford & Sons have handpicked some of their favourite acts to make the trip down south and those lucky enough to get tickets will also take in slots from Vampire Weekend, The Vaccines, Mystery Jets, Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit and The Very Best Soundsystem.

For fans in attendance at Convent Field, wristbands will be available to pick-up from 9am until 9.30pm on both Friday and Saturday. Fans are advised to arrive on Friday as early as possible to avoid queues. The main entry point to the Stopover show will be through the River Entrance. If you’re travelling from the direction of Spring Barn Farm, arrive via the Prior Entrance.

Headlining Friday night will be US superstars Vampire Weekend, who only this week announced a full UK tour, and they’ll be supported beforehand by acts including British Sea Power and White Denim. Saturday night sees Mumford & Sons take centre stage with The Vaccines and The Mystery Jets among the bands also in attendance.

Along with the stage times, the Gentlemen of the Road tour will also host a Bandstand Stage on Saturday for the first time. At Lewes, this will host Albatross, Giovanna, Thomas Gray (who will be providing live comedy) and Joe Banfi.
