Arctic Monkeys announce new album ‘AM’

Arctic Monkeys have announced details of their fifth studio album, titled ‘AM’. Set for release on September 9th, is UK rock about to be put back on the map all over again?

Featuring 12 tracks, including the new single ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ – the album will include tracks recently debuted at Hultsfred festival in Sweden earlier this year, as well as 2012 single ‘R U Mine?’ and ‘Mad Sounds’.

The album has been produced by James Ford and features appearances from the front man of, Josh Homme, plus former The Coral member Bill Ryder-Jones and Elvis Costello’s drummer Pete Thomas.

Arctic Monkeys headline Glastonbury festival this Friday (28th), performing on the opening day of the festival on the Pyramid Stage. Drummer Matt Helders has said that the band plan to “have a bit of fun” with their setlist at the festival on what will be the second time that the band have headlined the Pyramid Stage, following their appearance in 2007.
