Create in Brighton launch £1000 Instagram competition

Posted on Thursday, 11 October by

Create In Brighton have announced the launch of their second competition entitled Hidden Depths. This brings another collaboration with Tiger Beer and is a part of their Hidden Depths campaign that has already been taking place across London.

Earlier this year, Create In Brighton hosted its inaugural and very successful competition, calling for graphic designers, illustrators and photographers to enter with an answer to a brief. The winner, Matt C Stokes, won £1000 and was presented with his cheque at the Grand Final event at Coalition on Brighton’s seafront. To round things off, hip-hop hero Ghostpoet played a free live show in the city.

This second competition is Instagram based and anyone who is living, working or studying in Brighton & Hove can enter. For a chance to win £1000, people must upload an image to Instagram that they feel best represents the ‘musical hidden depths of Brighton’. The entry must be hash tagged #hiddendepthsbrighton to be counted. The deadline for entries falls on 16th November.

Our judges are esteemed photographers Kevin Meredith (AKA Lomokev), and James Kendall, editor of Brighton Source Magazine. Both are talented photographers who also use Instagram regularly as well as having a thorough and longstanding knowledge of the city and its musical and cultural happenings and history.

Once again, there will be another free live show taking place at a Grand Final at Coalition where the finalists work will be on display, winners will be announced, prizes presented and a big name act will play an amazing show for the general public to attend.
