Brighton and Hove Albion fans are tonight offered a rare glimpse to see their side away from the lights of the Amex Stadium, but instead as the stars of a behind-the-scenes documentary showcasing life at a professional football club.
‘Birds, Balls and Brighton’ airs tonight on More4 at 10pm and features Brighton in their prime last season, gearing up for the biggest game of the last campaign in what was their first full year at the Amex Stadium.
The cameras were in and around the club throughout the season, and this access-all-areas documentary features never-before-seen interviews with players including Adam El-Abd, and members of the backroom staff including first-team coach Charlie Oatway.
Those who live and breathe the club, including the coach, fans, cheerleaders, and even the people who clean the boots, share their experiences and capture the excitement, the personalities and the hard graft of professional football.
Football documentaries must be flavour of the month for television chiefs at the minute following the premier of Liverpool’s series on Channel 5 last week.
Catch ‘Birds, Balls and Brighton’ on More4 tonight at 10pm, or on 4oD soon after.
