Anyone who keeps their eyes and ears open won’t have missed Plan B’s return to form in recent months. Fresh from releasing his debut motion picture, Ben Drew released the much-anticipated album ‘Ill Manors’ last month and here’s his latest effort.
‘Deepest Shame’ is set for release next month and is yet again something that shows a different side to Plan B, probably the most versatile artist in the charts right now. It’s a far cry from the thumping anger that’s dominated his last couple of singles, but certainly no less powerful.
Speaking about the album ‘Ill Manors’ earlier in the year, Plan B said: “It’s a mirror, a reflection of today. And of the problems that have been swept under the carpet since the riots put them on the front pages. That’s why I made it so visceral, to get under people’s skin. I wanted people to misunderstand it, and to start debating it again.”
With this week marking one year since the problems started in London, it’s the perfect time for Plan B to start making some noise.
‘Deepest Shame’ is released on September 11th.
