Fatboy Slim’s Beach Bootique hits the big screen

Posted on Friday, 20 July by

Having entertained over 40,000 people earlier this summer with the cracking Big Beach Bootique 5, the first gig ever held at Brighton & Hove Albion FC’s Amex Stadium, Fatboy Slim is offering those who didn’t get a chance to experience the music first-hand a second shot at sampling the atmosphere.

Following in the footsteps of other global dance acts such as Swedish House Mafia, Soulwax and Justice, Norman Cook is taking his Big Beach experience all the way to the big screen, launching a full-on film of his summer party for one night only on August 31st.

Fatboy Slim says this will be “the biggest cinema dance party in the world”. The whole production was filmed across the two nights of Big Beach Bootique 5 earlier this year, which included a 600 square metre video wall and a spectacular laser and lights show.

Set to a soundtrack that incorporates Fatboy Slim’s latest material and his greatest hits in his signature mash up with the best dance floor classics, the performance should be a riot of eye-popping visuals including iconic imagery of Brighton, Fatboy Sim’s trademark smiley faces and his latest alter ego The Joker.
