Towner hosts University of Brighton graduation show

Posted on Wednesday, 13 June by

Students of FdA Digital Media Design at The University of Brighton are presenting their graduation show at the Towner in Eastbourne until the 17th June.

Level Up is a free exhibition which will showcase the best of the student’s creative work and you can expect to see fantastic examples of Graphic Design, Animation, Illustration, Motion Graphics, Interactive and Web Design.

This is the third year that Towner has worked with the course, who have produced digital displays for the contemporary art museum in previous years for various exhibitions.

For the past two years the students have been taking on a variety of rewarding projects in order to improve their creative skills. Group projects have helped them work well as a team and live briefs have given them the opportunity to liase with real clients in a professional situation.

As the course has continued the students have had the chance to specialise in different areas of the design industry such as motion graphics, branding, website design and animation – all of which will be represented at the exhibition.

Digital Media Design student at The University of Brighton, Jeanette King said “The exhibition shows off our creative development of a variety of skills learnt and developed through the course. We have all been able to find our own unique style and area of expertise.”

A main showreel containing elements from a wide range of work will be on display as well as usable touchscreen tablets, packaging designs and a vast array of print based work.

For many of the students this will be their first public exhibition and therefore a great deal of planning has had to go into deciding what work will be featured and how it will be presented.

Entry is free and the exhibition runs from 12 – 17 June.
