We can now announce that Gazz Marlow, the guitarist in international rock band, InMe, will be hosting proceedings at the SQ Stage – taking place on the 14th & 15th July at Eastbourne Extreme.
During the Extreme weekend we’re giving bands and artists the opportunity to win a 45 minute slot on the SQ Stage. Eight acts are needed, including two headliners, to play alongside Glam Ryze, Bat Country, The Blues Evergreens and No State.
Gazz Marlow will be dropping in to help out and host the event. Many of you will already know Gazz, but for those that don’t he’s a guitarist in the rock band InMe, who’ve released numerous high charting albums like Overgrown Eden and The Pride, and toured with the likes of Staind, Serj Tankian, Feeder and The Rasmus. A solo talent in his own right, Marlow is a firm favourite in Sussex, where he often plays and promotes gigs of his own.
Most people don’t seem to realise the full scale of the music scene in Eastbourne, Brighton and Hastings. There are hundreds of acts out there, from hip-hop to punk to rock to pop to metal to ska. Eastbourne Extreme and the SQ Stage will be a chance to celebrate those forgotten many, and give them the recognition they deserve.
If you want to stand a chance of playing, submit your tracks by simply opening up our SQ Stage SoundCloud here, click on “Share a Track” and send your songs in to our dropbox! Child’s play – It couldn’t be easier.
Submissions have been pouring in already, and it’s looking like the SQ Stage is going to be the place to be this summer.
